Lampshades
Cleaning and care
My handmade paper lampshades can mark easily, therefore only handle carefully and with clean hands.
Please be mindful not to clean with any water. You can use a soft cloth or a feather duster to carefully wipe them down.
Suitable areas of use
The lampshades are only suitable for use inside and in relatively dry environments.
I recommend to avoid direct sun exposure as it might change colouring over time.
I would not recommend placing the lampshade in a room with extreme variation of temperatures or humidity, as can be the case in bathrooms.
Choosing the right light bulb
All lampshades are lined with a fire-resistant card which complies with European and British Standard. To avoid any marks and for safety reasons it's important to use the right light bulbs.
I generally recommend to use energy efficient low wattage light bulbs, no higher than a 20 wattage for the Nano, Mini and Petite sizes.
For sizes larger than Petite or Petite Empire you can use bulbs with a wattage no higher than 40.
